The Restaurant
Converted from a former stable block, Jeremy’s Restaurant sits amidst the grounds of the 200 year old Borde Hill Estate on the outskirts of Haywards Heath.
Run by chef proprietor Jeremy and his wife Vera, who took over the restaurant in 1998 and transformed it into an award-winning venue, Jeremy’s Restaurant provides that perfect combination of a country idyll matched by the highest quality, creative cuisine.
Ingredients are of a high quality; produce is sourced as locally as possible, herbs, lavender and wild garlic are grown and picked in the garden and the Ashpools are particularly proud of their relationships with many of the local independent producers.
Regular forays aboard to the gastronomic regions of Spain and France also result in exciting new ideas and flavours being added to the menus. Local trademark dishes include Haunch of Venison with Puy Lentils and Bordelaise Sauce, Pan-fried Squid with a Ragout of Chickpea, Chorizo and Red Peppers, served alongside the home-made walnut bread which is made daily on the premises.
A special Degustation tasting menu is offered alongside the A La Carte menu, every Tuesday evening. This menu offers 6-tasting courses with accompanying wines and changes on a monthly basis. Alongside the A la Carte menus and Table d’Hote menus. See our complete list of food menus.
Jeremy’s has also established itself as a successful Jazz venue on Friday nights with a regular line-up of well known artists. See our list of diary of events or latest news articles.
With it’s light and airy restaurant space, alfresco dining and bar area and an ever-changing scene of contemporary art on the walls by local artist, Allissia de Lucy Spofforth, to contribute to the warm and friendly atmosphere, Jeremy’s is an ideal place to meet a friend for a meal or a drink.
